Christmas in September

Here is the picture of the Christmas wall hangings that I've been working on. One is in "traditional" Christmas colors and the other is in some "fun" Christmas colors. When finished these are roughly 6" x 22". I've fused the pieces of the tree with Steam-A-Seam (fusible web), then went back and machine appliqued around each piece. These will hang on a decorative dowel rod. My Mom requested 3 of these as gifts for her friends. I've got one more to make then it's on to some cool paper-pieced potholders. I'll post pics of those when they're done. Happy creating!

*When life gets in the way...of blogging*

Sorry for my absence! Life has been busy and hectic. I haven't had time for any art unfortunately. I have started making my handmade Christmas goodies for family and friends. I am making some wallhangings and pot holders. I'll try and post some pics later this week. Until then have a blessed week and happy creating to everyone!

I Made the Cover!

Oh my goodness! I am so excited! The photos above are the newest issue of Stringing Magazine. The top photo is their new publication, The Best of Stringing.

I can't believe I made the cover! How exciting is that? I have a necklace and bracelet in the regular issue and I have a second necklace featured in the "Best of" edition.

Not sure when these will be on newstands. I'll try and find out today.

Maybe this will help my muse find her way back to my bead table!!!

*Looking Ahead*

I've been working on some new art pieces, a new blog and a new Etsy shop for said art pieces. I hope to have things wrapped up by next week and will be able to share my new things with everyone. I felt it was time for a new blog because I started this one to promote my jewelry and Etsy shop. Since I am not making jewelry right now and don't forsee making any anytime soon, I thought it was time for a change.

My new blog is going to be dedicated to all things artsy, no particular genre, just art and the process and the creative bliss that follows. I want it to be a place for not only me to share my work but others as well (hence the Flickr group). I've already setup my Etsy shop, my Flickr group and the blog. I just need to create banners/headers for each and take pics of my work to post to Etsy.
